Privacy policy
Last updated September 29, 2026. This policy covers Ownvista Follow-Up at getownvista.com.
The short version
We use the information you and your customers give us only to follow up on your estimates. We don't sell it, rent it, or use it for any other marketing. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
- From you (the contractor): your name, business name, trade, town, email address, and anything you tell us when you sign up or email us.
- From the estimates you send us: your customers' names, email addresses, the job, the estimate amount, and anything else on the estimate. If you share sample emails so we can match your voice, we keep those too.
- From customer replies: what your customers write back to the follow-ups we send.
- From this website: basic, anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, rough location, device type) through Vercel Analytics. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
How we use it
- To write and send follow-up emails about your estimates, in your name.
- To tell you when a customer is ready to book or has a question, and to send your weekly report.
- To invoice you under our terms.
We don't use your customers' information for anything else, and we never contact them about other products or services.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run Follow-Up: our email providers (Google Workspace, and Resend for website form notifications), our website host (Vercel), our file storage for estimates you upload (Supabase), and our payment processor when we invoice you. They handle the information on our behalf and not for their own purposes. We'll also share information if the law requires it.
Your customers' choices
Every follow-up we send makes it easy to say no. When a customer asks us to stop, we stop that day and never email them again.
How long we keep it
We keep your estimates and the related emails for as long as you use Follow-Up, and for up to 12 months after, so we can answer questions about past results. Ask us and we'll delete it sooner.
Security
Your information is stored with the providers above, behind accounts protected by strong passwords and two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your data and never post it anywhere public.
Your rights
Email hello@getownvista.com to see the information we hold about you or your customers, correct it, or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days.
